What does “GPS” mean?
“GPS” stands for Global Positioning Satellite, a designation for 24 Department of Defense satellites orbiting the earth. Signals from these satellites enables the vehicle unit to pinpoint its location to within 12 meters (36 feet) anywhere in the world.

Are there recurring fees?
The Venture GPS system requires a $29.00 monthly fee to have internet access always on. This will allow you know where any Venture GPS equipped vehicle is at all times. The G4 Echo and TM GPS systems are a capital expenditure with no monthly or annual fees attached.

Is the automatic download secure?
Yes, as secure as you want it to be. Every precaution has been taken to ensure that company data is not compromised.

What kind of software do I need?
None. The Software Suites are intuitive, data rich applications. Summary, Analysis and Exception Reports make it easy to surf across the wealth of data that describes your fleet, using easy to understand graphs, bar charts and summary statistics. Comprehensive Driver, Vehicle or Location Reports allow you to drill down to the data that interests you most.
